Cyd Innovation is a specialist consultancy company . In our first phase of development we are providing support for Welsh Social Housing Providers and Local Authorities to accelerate progress towards low carbon homes that are warm and healthy homes. We provide experienced personnel, strategies, and access to funding to bridge any gaps housing providers might have.

The Cyd Innovation team have collectively worked on delivering energy efficiency retrofit in the public sector for over 30 years and have a strong track record of designing projects, securing funding, procuring supply chains and providing scheme management. We are well connected and respected by Welsh Government, Local Authorities and the Supply Chain which puts us in a unique position to facilitate a collaborative approach to overcoming the three main challenges.

The three main challenges facing the sector are: (1) a lack of dedicated resources, (2) a huge funding gap, and (3) a lack of a local supply chain that maximises social value.

We have a have a target of bringing affordable warmth to 50,000 homes over the next five years but to get to net zero is a massive challenge. It will require development of a competent and scalable supply chain and unprecedented levels of investment. This is a huge challenge that is bigger than any single organisation. The opportunity if we get it right will be transformative for Wales.
