Our Path to B Corp Certification
We don’t just talk about social value – we deliver it.
Cyd Innovation is proud to be in the process of attaining B Corp certification – an independent, internationally recognised mark of leadership in social and environmental performance.
This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to making a measurable difference for people and the planet, and reinforces what’s always been true of Cyd Innovation.
Our journey towards B Corp status is a natural evolution of our purpose-driven work. From accelerating decarbonisation in Welsh homes to helping local authorities tackle fuel poverty, social impact is embedded in every project we deliver. This ethos is echoed in our social value impact, which totalled over £265,000 in 2023/24, and our commitment to reinvesting at least 1% of revenue into client-led CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives.

Strengthening Our Impact-Led Team

Ciara Murray
Sustainability & Social Value Manager
Leading the charge is our new sustainability lead and B Corp project manager.
With a background in politics and international relations from University College Dublin and hands-on experience as a Sustainability and Social Innovation Manager at Danone, Ciara brings global insight and grounded expertise to guide our certification process.

Ruby Garrigan
Sustainability & Social Value Officer
Joining Ciara is Ruby, a GIS specialist and key part of our Social Value Pathway.
Ruby’s work helps map impact geographically, ensuring we maximise outcomes where they’re needed most. Together, they’re not only deepening our operational rigour but strengthening our ability to support and scale social value across communities in North Wales and beyond.

More Than a Badge
For Cyd Innovation, becoming a B Corp isn’t about brand optics, it’s about accountability.
It’s about standing behind our promise to deliver healthy, energy-efficient homes for everyone while being transparent in how we do it. From cleaning up invasive species in Greenfield Valley Heritage Park to building eco-home VR models for schoolchildren, we act with purpose and intention. That’s what makes our work real.
We don’t just pay lip service to social value. The initiatives we’ve undertaken so far have made a genuine impact. Achieving B Corp status will independently verify the work we’re already proud of.

Inspiring the Future
Our B Corp journey is also part of a bigger picture. Whether it’s speaking at M-Sparc’s SparcX event to help graduates access careers in the built environment or mentoring future STEM talent through hands-on model building, we’re growing an ecosystem of change.
One that is grounded in social responsibility, built on education, and powered by practical action.
B Corp certification is a benchmark, but it’s also a beginning. It’s our way of showing the communities we serve and the sector we’re transforming, that we’re committed to lasting change.
