Project Manager

The Role – Project Manager

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join Cyd Innovation’s Project Management Team to support the operational delivery of energy efficiency retrofit for housing and procurement projects for our private and social housing clients.  The postholder will be supported to continuously develop their construction management experience and have the opportunity to work towards a RICS qualification.  They will be expected to help coordinate multiple high value projects, utilising a range of funding, and will work within a PMO environment alongside a team of experts including Retrofit Advisors, Retrofit Assessors and Retrofit Coordinators to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.  The postholder must be prepared to travel as the position requires on-site visits due to the nature of contracts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the project management of retrofit housing projects from project scoping through to delivery and sign off.   
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel. 
  • Monitoring project performance, highlighting any issues and apply guidance to ensure successful project delivery.  
  • Report on progression to the PMO Manager, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations. 
  • Assist with communications and relationships with clients and stakeholders.  
  • Maintain a customer / resident focused approach at all times. 
  • Recognising and recommending opportunities for enhancement and cost reduction in the project delivery. 
  • Develop case studies to promote the effectiveness of the projects and our commitment to delivering social value. 
  • Assist with generating repeat business and developing new business opportunities. 
Essential Skills, experience and qualifications
  • A positive and innovative mindset 
  • The ability to self-manage and to work on own initiative 
  • Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience working within the Construction sector. 
  • Understanding of Health Safety and Environmental legislation relevant to the business within the UK construction industry 
  • Project management knowledge demonstrating experience and aptitude. 
  • Be diligent, efficient and pay great attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong ICT skills – Able to use relevant applications, including MS Office. 
  • A commitment to continuous learning to enhance personal and professional development.   
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. 
  • A positive outlook and ability to work well as part of a team as well as ability to work on own initiative. 
  • Fluent Welsh: Written and conversational 
Desirable Skills, experience and qualifications
  • A construction related degree or equivalent NVQ etc

  • Competitive salary (£28,000 – £35,000)
