Since 2021 all publicly funded energy efficiency projects are subject to a set of government standards called PAS2035.
These standards are designed to protect consumers from rogue traders and poor quality of works.
The first step in ensuring a project is compliant with these standards is via a Retrofit Assessment. This is a detailed home energy survey that normally takes a couple of hours to complete on a typical house.
An Assessor from Cyd Innovation will visit your home and talk to you about how you use heat and electricity in the home. They will measure the house, review the current insulation and heating systems and identify what energy efficiency measures might be suitable to improve the energy efficiency of the home. The Assessment is detailed and can take a couple of hours.
Once the assessment is complete and Grŵp Cynefin agree to progress with the recommended improvements, Wall-Lag (the installer) will be instructed to carry out a Technical Survey to measure and cost the proposed works.
This whole process is not intrusive and should include input from the tenant in deciding what energy efficiency measures will be recommended.
