The Role – Apprentice Administrator

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join Cyd Innovation as an Apprentice Administration. We are small but rapidly growing business, with passionate and like-minded people who want to support our customers to create real and sustainable impact.

We’re looking for someone who who is passionate, with good attention to detail, strong organisational, analytical and communication skills who can provide administrative support to all areas of the business to enhance our relationships with external and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with the existing Customer Support Team but also assist members of the Senior Leadership Team as and when required.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

    • You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients.
    • To act as first point of contact responding to telephone calls and email queries escalating to colleagues as appropriate.
    • To undertake routine office administration duties including maintenance of paper and electronic filing systems, draft meeting agendas and meeting minutes, basic notetaking, photocopying/scanning, schedule/coordinate meetings.
    • To ensure that all files and documentation are stored and maintained appropriately to demonstrate a clear audit trail in line with our compliance requirements.
    • Arranging energy assessments liaising with potential customers and Retrofit Energy Assessors and checking customers against criteria.
    • Work with the team to ensure all targets are met.
    • To support members of the Senior Leadership Team with admin tasks where appropriate.
    • To support all other appropriate administrative duties as and when required.
    • Share ideas and support on the development of innovative new commercial products and services.
    • To undertake other such duties that are required from time to time to satisfy the needs of the service and commensurate with the scale of the post

 

The Package

  • Real Living Wage Employer.  Salary of £22,672 (rising to £24,960 in May 2024)  
  • Permanent contract, working flexibly over 40 hours a week

Our Requirements – Apprentice Administrator

  • Genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service
  • Willing to learn and ideally have an interest in housing and/or the environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, not afraid to network and be confident on the phone to clients and suppliers.
  • Organised and structured approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
  • A hunger to do things differently – outside of the box thinking.
  • Creative flair – confidence to develop and share ideas on how we can turn problems into opportunities for success.
  • Strong ICT skills and experience of Microsoft Office with an interest in innovative technological solutions.
  • GCSE English, Maths, ICT grade A-C preferably.
  • A desire to learn Welsh.

 

Although not essential, experience of working in an office would be preferable and if you have an interest in the housing sector and/or the environment, even better!
